To familiarize yourself with your topic

Encyclopedias and dictionaries are an excellent resource to help you familiarize yourself with your discipline. The databases below can help you get to know your subject. Other reference tools are also available in the library catalogue. We encourage you to explore them!

Available services

International Baccalaureate students may use the library for the following services.

Orientations and research support

The library offers orientations to IB students. Orientations are best organized upon request of the school staff, but students with research questions are welcome to contact us directly.

Borrowing privileges

Students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program are eligible to borrow books and other materials from the library. IB students must register at the Library's Circulation Desk. Students under 18 will have borrowing privileges at Université Sainte-Anne’s library only. Students 18 and older with a valid Nova Scotia address can request a Novanet-wide borrower card.
The borrowing privileges for IB students are three weeks for books. Borrowed items can be returned at any Novanet library or public library in Nova Scotia.
IB students may renew materials online via the Novanet catalogue, but cannot use Novanet Express document delivery service unless they have a Novanet borrower card.
